Senior Manager of Business Development
Join Nexar as a Senior Manager of Business Development! Drive enterprise sales, close big deals, and shape the future of AV/ADAS data.
DESCRIPTION:
We’re hiring a Senior Manager of Business Development to manage end-to-end sales and strategic partnerships for Nexar’s AV/ADAS data business, which is focused on enterprise customers in autonomy, automotive, simulation, mapping, and adjacent spaces.
This is a sales-heavy, quota-carrying role with a strong sales focus, but it goes far beyond traditional sales. You’ll act as the go-to-market lead for every account you manage, which means: identifying the wedge, building the pricing model, writing outbound emails, leading demos, negotiating redlines, and working with product, engineering, and legal to drive the deal to execution. You’ll get deep into the technical and commercial weeds—because that’s what it takes to win in this market.
We’re not focused on the length of your sales career. We are looking for someone who understands this industry, understands our product, and is relentlessly proactive. Ideally, you’ve already been selling or partnering in the autonomous driving, ADAS, or mobility data ecosystem for at least 12 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise Sales (Primary Focus)
Own full-cycle deal execution: prospecting, first contact, wedge design, pilot definition, legal redlines, scale-up negotiations.
Run structured sales motions: define the business case, outline usage rights, design pricing ladders, and build mutual action plans.
Maintain 3–5× pipeline coverage across a clear ICP list (AV, ADAS, simulation, mapping)
GTM Operator Mindset
Write your own outbound and follow-up emails.
Translate demand into precise asks for product, engineering, and legal—turning customer needs into data specs, privacy language, or QA frameworks.
Draft pricing structures, exclusivity terms, contract redlines, and pilot
Market & Account Research
Walk into every call knowing what the company does, who their competitors are, where Nexar can win, and what their budget or licensing behavior likely is.
Map out key personas and prepare “what-if” scenario trees for every potential objection.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work directly with Product, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering.
Help us codify and scale what’s working: pricing templates, contract language, and success metrics.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical skills & qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in enterprise growth, sales, partnerships, or business development, preferably in the mobility, automotive, or technology sectors.
- Proven experience: developing and executing go-to-market strategies for enterprise products, particularly data-driven or AI-powered solutions.

- Leadership & Collaboration: Experience collaborating with C-level executives and managing large-scale projects across multiple teams.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
People skills & traits
- Relationship Building & Negotiation: Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with a track record of managing high-value client relationships.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate Nexar’s value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Resilience & Drive: Resourceful, resilient, and results-driven, with the grit to overcome obstacles, the initiative to “find a way or make one,” and the drive to turn challenges into opportunities.
- Consultative Mindset: Consultative and client-centric, with strong active listening skills to uncover complex needs and translate them into tailored AI/data solutions that deliver real business value.
- Passion for Innovation: Passion for innovation, mobility solutions, and leveraging technology to solve real-world problems.
