Give the physical world a memory, and give every machine the experience to act on it.
AI learned the digital world from everything we had already written down. Now it is starting to drive vehicles, move robots and help run cities, and almost nothing about how the physical world actually behaves was ever recorded. The same near miss can happen a hundred times at one corner before it becomes a collision, and most of those warnings disappear. We measure them. You will work with more than 10 billion miles of real-world driving and 60 million edge cases, with over 300 million new miles every month, and help turn that record into the experience machines need before they act. Our research is published so anyone can check it, and because we compete with none of the systems we measure, what you build gets used across the industry.

Stefan Heck starts Nauto to spot risk inside commercial vehicles early enough to change how the day ends.
Nauto passes one million miles.
Nauto raises its Series B to put its safety system in commercial fleets, which is where it learns to spot risk inside the vehicle. Today the combined record is past 10 billion.
Nauto launches predictive collision alerts.
The system combines what the driver is doing, how the vehicle is moving and what's on the road ahead to warn before a crash rather than after.
Nexar sees 70 million miles a month
That's across more than 1,000 US cities, with over 90% of US freeways covered every week. Today the combined record adds over 300 million a month.
Nexar acquires Veniam in Porto
Vehicles become a network that moves data as well as collecting it, and Porto becomes one of our homes.
BADAS 1.0.
A collision-prediction model trained on real events from public roads, published in an open paper anyone can check.

Trained on two million real collision and near-collision events recorded on public roads.
